How To Set Up A Minecraft Server LAN
You can share the worlds created with other players on your network. "Minecraft" allows you to open your game to your area network. Players don't have to log in to your physical LAN to access your world, however; software like LogMeIn Hamachi, Comodo Unite and Wippien enable you to create virtual LANs with users anywhere in the world. These virtual LANs look exactly the same as physical networks to "Minecraft." To host a LAN-game in Minecraft, connect other players to the virtual network, then configure the game so that other users can access it.
Virtual LAN
Download, install and open LogMeIn Hachi, Comodo Unite and Wippien (links under the Resources).
Click on the power button and then click on "Create" Hamachi. For Comodo Unite click "Register New Account", fill out the form, then click "Register." For Wippien, fill out the form that appears when you open the program, and then click "OK" to create a Jabber account.
Click "Create New Networks" in Hamachi. For Comodo Unite click "Sign me in", select "Networks", and then click on "Create New Network." Wippien can be found on the toolbar by clicking the "+" symbol and then clicking "Add/Remove contacts."
Enter a network name and password, and then click "Create" in Hamachi. Enter a network username and password for Comodo Unite. Next, click "Create." For Wippien enter the Jabber ID from another player, click "Add contact," and then click on "OK."
To allow players to connect with the virtual LAN, you must give your JabberID (or the virtual network names and password) to them.
