'Minecraft' Arrives on Xbox one and PlayStation 4 this August

It's true that playing Minecraft on consoles is truly amazing. It's basically the same delightful/terrifying experience from PC, albeit in the comfort of your living room. What's not to love? The consoles of the last generation had one negative side effect: the procedurally generated Minecraft world was much smaller than what could have been done on PC. This is expected to change with the launch of the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 versions in August. Mojang, a development studio, says that it "brings significantly bigger worlds and a larger draw range than Xbox 360 Edition." Hot dog!

Of course, should the more smaller world of the last-gen Minecraft suffice (and we're sure it's plenty large) The PlayStation Vita version also arrives this August. This is even better news: if you purchased the game on PlayStation 3, you own it on Vita. It costs $5 to convert from Xbox 360/PS3 to PS4/XB1 versions. This deal is only available for the initial year, so you should upgrade now to avail it at a low cost.

To sweeten the deal To make the deal more attractive, games that were saved from the previous generation/Vita versions will be transferred to the latest generation of consoles. However, it is not possible to go back. The updates to the last-gen versions will be added with the current version of August and the entire package is priced at $20. Minecraft And the creepers are super, super creepy.
