Grenade Launcher Loaded Left at Florida Goodwill Store

Authorities say that a grenade launcher filled with live explosives was found at an Florida Goodwill with other donated items.

The Bradenton Herald reports employees at the Goodwill near Tampa reported the weapon to them on Sunday.

The Manatee County Sheriff's Office says the store manager informed deputies that the grenade launcher was in a shipment from another store a few days earlier. The employees of the other store claimed they had sent it to them because they didn't know what it was.
Article content Deputies say they disposed of the active grenade in a Hazmat locker, and the launcher was stored in the agency's property room.
It is not clear who donated the items.
