Minecraft Update 1.8 Is (Officially) Live
We know that Minecraft version 1.8 (also referred to as the "Adventure Update") is available through semi-official means since the end of last week following a Mojang developer leaked the update with the approval of the studio. If you're not feeling like going through the file, however, you can now grab the patch through the Minecraft launcher, where it recently went live for all users.
We know this won't have much impact on our more knowledgeable, file-hunting readers, but if you share our worry about downloading a game update which is secretly an illegal bestiality porno virus, you can download the update without this particular concern.
